Will Trump Save America?

If you are praying for Trump to save America, you may be praying for the wrong thing.

Trust the Plan.

The Storm is upon us.

Nothing can stop what’s coming.

Hold the Line.

Enjoy the show….

Does this sound familiar? Everyone needs to be praying right now, and if you are praying that God takes this world by storm and saves America, keep doing so! But are our prayers lining up with God’s will? "Of course," you say, "Doesn’t God want to save America?" Yes! Our God is a God who saves. But God thinks bigger. His ways are not our ways and what are we really praying for when we ask for Trump to save America?

I am so unfocused while writing this post; I have not written a post in over a month (sorry!) due to the election fraud roller-coaster (yes, there was fraud, indisputable fraud) and continued Covid mandates, vaccine scares, closures, and China/communism take over doom scrolling via Twitter. Because of these past distractions, and even the distractions I am facing now as I write, I know the enemy has been thwarting my action and the word God spoke to me concerning this action. The purposeful, God driven prayer.

What do we pray for? Are you praying the military overthrows Biden and Trump rides in to save the day and for the swamp and all their minions and underlings to be thrown in prison? That’s what I was praying for, but I knew better even in the summer; I knew not only to pray for that, but to pray for God’s will to be done. Whether Trump or Biden, let Your will be done. When the election turned out contested, I prayed God’s truth be revealed. Whether it was Trump or Biden who won, Lord let the truth be revealed. Surely our God is a God of truth and justice and wants these good things for America? But still, I knew I was missing something.

Why do we pray?

Does God already know the future? Yes. Does He already know what is going to happen? Yes. Does that mean we have no agency of will over what happens in the future? NO! We absolutely have free will and agency in our choices. But how can that be if the future is already known and established? Why does God want us to pray if He already knows what is going to happen anyway? Many, many reasons! Yet, I will focus on two:

1) We pray to show God that we submit to His will in our lives and acknowledge He, and He alone, can answer our prayers. He can solve our problems; He can move mountains and He is our Rock upon which all things must be founded. When people came to Jesus to be healed, what did Jesus always ask? What is it you need? What is it you want? As if He didn’t know?! Did he know the leper wanted to be healed? Did He know the names of the demons within the man at the cemetery? Did He know Lazarus had already died? Did He know the centurion’s servant was sick? Yes, a resounding, yes. He knew of these things, so why did He ask? Why did He ask people to ask for what they need and want? Because He was teaching us how to rely on Him. He was showing us that even though He already knows everything we need, do we know that He can provide? Do we know that we need to come to Him for all of our needs, troubles, hope and dreams? We pray to speak to God and to submit ourselves, our troubles, our loves and cares to Him and His authority.

2) We pray to make the future. Yes. We do. This is what I’ve been trying to write. This is part of what God has put on my heart during this difficult time. I’m rushing to finish this post before Wednesday afternoon because I know it is very important Christians understand the power of prayer! We do not change the future; the future already exists. Time is not a line; it is a space (look up Einstein’s Time space theory to have your mind blown regarding time). Past, present, future already exists and is currently existing. So why pray if the future is already determined? Because the future as it exists now, is directly connected and dependent on the actions YOU take right NOW. The future exists as it is because of the actions you have taken in the past and the actions you take presently. You aren’t changing the future by deciding to pray right now, tonight, if you were originally not planning to pray, you are taking an action that has already decided the events of the future. Again, the future is not changed by what you do or do not do right now, rather, the future, as it is, is determined by what you are doing now. Your choice to pray or not pray has already determined the future. Just because we do not KNOW the events of the future does not mean they do not exist. And the events of the future exist because of the actions you take right now.

So, what is my point? My point is what we pray for right now has already determined what the future holds and has already been factored into the plan God has for America. So, this begs the question: What do we pray for right now? My answer? The closer you are to God the more likely your prayer will be answered, because the more likely you are to know what to pray for and what God ‘s will is. Think of any person you are very close to. Think about asking them a question. You know what the answer will be, don’t you? You know you should not ask that one friend to go on a crazy adventure, they will of course say no; oh, but that another friend, yes, that one you will ask and they will drop everything and go along for the ride. You know how they will answer, because you know them. When you know God better, you pray better. Just as you would not ask a certain person for a kiss or $100 or to borrow their car, you will know what to NOT ask God for (win the lotto is a no, no!).

I have been praying for God’s will concerning the situation of America and I prayed for God’s discernment so that I may pray purposefully. I want God to answer my prayer! I want to know His will for my nation. God spoke this so clearly to me, I had to share—usually it is incredibly presumptuous to TELL people what to ask their God for. Prayer is a personal exchange and relationship between you and God, yet God put this request so strongly on my heart I knew I had to share.

PRAY For the People of America. God put on my heart that the attempt to save America, the nation, without saving the souls of Americans is a vain and worthless endeavor. Ask yourselves, do you know God? If you do, do you think for one moment this definite spiritual battle between good and evil we are now facing only concerns the evil of China and communism versus the good of America? Do you think God cares more about saving America or saving the souls of Americans? But surely God loves America. Surely God wants to save our nation? Surely God wants to preserve the nation founded on His words and truth? Well, what is America if not its values: justice, liberty, freedom, equality and man’s inalienable rights given by God alone, not man? And where do these values lie? On a piece of paper? In our laws? In our courthouses and Capitol on the hill? NO. These values lie in the hearts and souls of man! If we do not preserve these values in the hearts of Americans, we will lose America no matter what happens on January 20th and beyond. America will never fall if Americans preserve the values it was founded upon. But if the hearts of Americans are not turned, if they do not repent, if they do not call upon God to pour out His spirit, His blessing, His wisdom upon our nation, America will not, cannot, endure.

Many people, including myself, have been praying for God to save this nation. For a miracle to occur and for Him to vanquish our enemies, show His power and take back this country. For God to place Donald Trump back into his duly elected position as president and everything will go back to normal. Is this wrong? No. But I think this prayer is missing a major element. When has God ever forced Himself upon people without their consent?

Hear me: We need to pray for the hearts of Americans to awaken, respond, repent, turn and walk in the ways of the Lord once again. If millions of people around the world pray for God to speak into the souls and hearts of Americans, to soften their hearts of stone, to become seeing when they were once blind, to hear when they were once deaf, to pray the spirit of bondage be broken from our people, then God, as history has shown us, will deliver His people, as He always has when they turn their face towards Him.

If you are thinking, well then, we are screwed! If God saving America is determined by people in America changing their ways, turning their eyes and minds back towards God, and asking God to come back to America, to once again believe we truly are one nation, one people under God—then we have no chance! The people are too far gone! They are enemies! They will never repent. They will never change. They aren’t Americans anymore. If you are thinking this, then the battle is already lost! If you think prayer cannot change the hearts of man, what pray tell, can? If the hearts of Americans are divided, this house cannot stand. If the American values we hold dear cannot be reinstalled into the hearts of Americans, then America is already lost! If you are praying, God save America, without praying, God save the souls of Americans, what is it you are praying for? For a piece of paper to be honored? For a single man to carry the country’s values on his shoulders? What will change if our initial prayer is answered, Trump takes back his rightful seat and keeps communist China at bay for four years? What then? Is that really all America is? A man upholding constitutional values? NO! America is the people. Even if Trump remains in the White House, if the people do not carry the values of America in their heart, we will have won the battle but not the war. Make no mistake this is a war. This is a war, but a war not for our country, but for our souls. If America falls, the world will follow, but it is the souls, not the economy, not the progress, not the buildings, and courthouses and documents, that we truly fight for.

The Jews denied Jesus as the Messiah. Why? Jealousy, disbelief, and mainly, disappointment. They believed their Messiah would come with fire and power. That He would smite their persecutors, those that kept them in bondage, their enemies. The Messiah would vindicate them, rule over the world and claim the Jews victorious heirs to His kingdom. Instead, they received a gentle carpenter who spoke of forgiveness and love. As Jesus said, I have come not to judge, but to save. The Jews were disappointed, they did not believe Jesus was the Messiah because He came to save, not to judge. They did not realize; the judgment will come. The justification of the humble and meek, the judgement of the wicked and the rule of His kingdom will come to pass when Jesus comes again. But the first time, Jesus came to save. Not the nation of Israel, as they thought, but the souls of all the people who had lived, were living and would ever live. Align your hearts with God’s. Align your will with God’s will. I do not know if God plans to have Mr. Trump as the next president, yet there have been many prophecies to that end. But I do know in my heart that the future, though already set, is determined by what we pray for now. And that the hearts of a rebellious, sinful people that turn back towards God will be delivered by God. Pray, friends. Pray that God invokes the Spirit of revelation, the Spirit of conviction upon this people. Pray for Americans to seek out God’s face once again. If Americans again believe in their nation as one people under God, “They will be my people, and I will be their God.”

Action Tasks:

1. Pray for God to heal and save America.

2. Pray for the rightful and lawful President to serve four more years.

3. Most importantly, pray that the Spirit of God pours out and into the hearts of Americans. That Americans will become convicted of their sins, repent and turn their hearts towards God. Pray that Americans once again choose God to be their God and for America to be His nation.
